I am a political theorist based in Montevideo, Uruguay. My research and teaching interests are in normative political theory, public policy, and comparative political theory, with a focus on Latin America. I am a researcher at the Instituto de Investigación en Justicia Social y Desigualdades (IJD) and a faculty member at the Department of Political Science, Universidad de la República. Before moving to Uruguay, I was an Associate Professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and an Assistant Professor at the University of Florida, where I directed the Public Affairs Program. I earned my Ph.D. from the Department of Political Science at Washington University in St. Louis. In addition to my research and teaching, I co-direct the Ethics and Public Policy Working Group of the PPE Society, and serve as an associate editor for Latin America at the International Journal of Social Welfare.  

Soy investigador y docente en teoría política, radicado en Montevideo, Uruguay. Mis intereses académicos se sitúan en la teoría política normativa, las políticas públicas y la teoría política comparada, con un enfoque en América Latina. Me desempeño como investigador del Instituto de Investigación en Justicia Social y Desigualdades (IJD) y del Departamento de Ciencia Política de la Universidad de la República. Antes de mudarme a Uruguay, fui Profesor Asociado en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile y Profesor Asistente en la Universidad de Florida, donde dirigí el Public Affairs Program. Obtuve mi doctorado en el Departamento de Ciencia Política de Washington University in St. Louis. Actualmente co-dirijo el Ethics and Public Policy Working Group de la PPE Society y soy editor asociado para América Latina del International Journal of Social Welfare.
